The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signed Between UNE and UWICE

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today, the 12th of December 2013 between the University of New England (UNE) at Armidale in Australia and the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE). It was signed by Professor Jim Barber, Vice Chancellor of the University of New England and Mr. Nawang Norbu, Director of UWICE.

The UNE is home to a growing population of Bhutanese students across areas of education, urban planning and biological sciences. This MoU intends to strengthen collaborative research in the areas of conservation, human geography and water resources. It will also enable faculty and student exchange between the two institutions.
