International Course on Environmental Economics

A five-days intensive course on environmental economics will be offered at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment from the 12th to 16th May 2014 in collaboration with the Conservation Strategy Fund based out of the US.  The course will cover the following topics:

  • Micro-economics (1/2 day)
  • Environmental economics (2 days)
  •  Cost-benefit analysis (2 days)
  •  Best practices in infrastructure policy management (1/2 day)

The course will be taught by Professor Jorge Madeira Nogueira and Dr. John Reid.

We are offering 15 slots for Bhutanese participants. 5 international students from Myanmar, India and Nepal will also participate in the course.
