UWICE hired two interns through the Young Environmental Scholar’s (YES) internship program. The program was initially started in the year 2010 at the Institute. This program is sponsored through a donation from Mrs. Daphne Hoch Cunningham made in honour of His Excellency, Dr. Pema Gyamtsho.

Kul Bdr. Thapa received his B.A in Economics and Environmental Science from Sherubtse College in 2013. He is currently engaged in research with the UWICE Water Department.
