The first phase of training on “ Forest Acts and Rules” funded by REDD+ Readiness Programme of Bhutan supported by Forest Carbon Partnership Facility, World Bank through Watershed Management Division of DoFPS started at Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment on 1st October 2015 for two weeks.

The training targets front line forestry staff of Territorial Division of Department of Forest & Park Services.

The objective of this training is to enhance understanding of forestry acts and rules and their implementations in the field.

Twenty two participants from eleven Divisions are participating in this training. The second phase of training will be provided to staff of Parks and Extension.
