A two days library symposium was successfully ended on 25/12/2015. Total of 15 librarians and library assistants from various Colleges of Royal University of Bhutan, Public library, School and NGO’s libraries attended the Symposium. The library symposium was conducted as a part of fourth annual Bhutan Library Consortium conference. Participants discussed on the maximize usage of available open access e-resources rather than subscribing to paid version e-resources. Practical training sessions such as Greenstone Digital Library Management systems were also conducted in improving the skill of library workers.

At the end of the symposium, participants became clear that Bhutan Library Consortium conference has a huge potential in:

• Promoting formal relations between libraries in the country to foster collaboration and professional networking.
• Sharing print and electronic resources online.
• Improving  skills of all library workers and platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas within libraries.
