The Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests Dasho Tenzin Dhendup visited the Institute on 12^th March 2016. The secretary was accompanied by Chief of Administration and Finance Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Mr. Sonam Dorji and other officials from Thimphu and Bumthang. 

The Honorable Secretary remarked on the need of immediate research on the illegally collected forest produce and to recommend proper procedures for collection and to create better marketing opportunities. Dasho also emphasized on the importance of understanding the dynamics of predator and prey  to help  minimize the human wildlife conflict. 

The Honorable Secretary and the team visited the wildlife exhibition corner, forest expo, museum, Daphne hall and the the UNESCO Madanjeet Center for South Asia Forestry Studies in the Institute.
