A lone White-Bellied Heron (Ardea insignis) was sighted for the first time from Jamkhardrang near Gomkora under Tashiyangtse Dzongkhag by the second batch of Nature Guide and Eco-tourism trainees at UWICE during their field excursion on 18th April 2016. It is now another new habitat for the Globally threatened bird in Bhutan. Ap Langa from Jamkhar said "I saw this bird only since last year" and there are also some records of sighting the bird from Sherichhu in Mongar by the villagers.
