The 15^th General Staff Meeting of the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE) was organized for three days at Lamai Goempa, Bumthang (29^th June to 1^st July 2016). It is the first meeting organized after the executive order with regards to merger of RDC-Yusipang and RDC-Darla with UWICE.

Three days meeting was chaired by the Director of the Institute. More than 60 staff from Lamai Goempa, Yusipang and Darla under UWICE came together and discussed how to restructure  all the units administratively and financially. The meeting also prioritized research topics for the fiscal year 2016-2017. Director of the institute emphasized researchers to give little more focus on applied research which can help our policy makers and bring benefits to our farmers immediately.

The house has also decided to organize such meeting once every after six months and discuss issues and develop plans.
