A group of entomologists led by professor Wein Klein from the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in the Netherlands visited the Institute on 16th August 2016. While at the Institute they gave a presentation on digger wasps and moths of Bhutan.

Naturalis currently collaborates with the National Biodiversity Center of Bhutan to document insect species richness. UWICE, CNR and Sherubtse are also collaborators within this project.
