Boot Camp on Wildlife Study and Data Analysis
The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE) is organising a 10 days Regional Boot Camp on Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis in collaboration with the Biodiversity Conservation Society of Sarawak (BCSS), Malaysia from 12th September 2016. 22 participants are currently attending the training. The participants are from Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and India.
Participants attending from Bhutan are from Sakten Wildlife Sanctuary, Paro Territorial Forest Division, Gedu Territorial Forest Division, Wildlife Conservation Division, Wang Research Consultancy and UWICE. From Bangladesh, we have participants attending from WildTeam; from Nepal, we have participants from Friends of Nature and from India, a participant from USAID Bagh Activity based in Bangladesh and a Post Doc Student at Columbia University, US. The boot camp is intended for people who are involved in wildlife research using techniques such as presence/absence surveys or mark-capture or those who need to understand the results of this research.
The training will end on 23rd September, 2016.
