Regional Boot Camp on Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis
The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) will be organizing a 10 days Regional Boot Camp on Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis in collaboration with the Biodiversity Conservation Society of Sarawak (BCSS), Malaysia from 18th - 29th September 2017 (10 days). Interested participants working as a Researcher or Forestry Officer or Academia from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India and Thailand are invited to apply for the course.
The boot camp is intended for people who are involved in wildlife research using techniques such as presence/absence surveys or mark-capture or those who need to understand the results of this research.
There are only 20 slots available for the boot camp. Participants may apply for the course with the form (download here) along with Curriculum Vitae and send it to trainingunit@uwice.gov.bt.
Selected participants will be provided food and lodge during the entire course, however they will have to bear their own travel expense or may claim TA/DSA from their parent agency. The training will be held at the Regional Tiger Center, Gelephu.
The application will be open until 31st August 2017 and selected participants will be informed on 6th September 2017.
