The Sub-Tropical Forestry Technology Research Sub-Centre was formally inaugurated by the Director, Ugyen Wangchuck Institute of Conservation and Environmental Research at Gelephu on 13 February, 2018.

The sub-centre will cater the research needs on flora and fauna of sub-tropical regions of the country.
