On 18^th of January, 2019, officials from the Department of Forest and Park Services and Royal Society for the Protection of Nature convened a short meeting for MoU signing between the RSPN and the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research in Thimphu.

UWICER was represented by the Director of DoFPS, and Director of UWICER whilst RSPN was represented by the Executive Director and the Chairperson of RSPN.

The MoU entails areas of collaboration between the Institute and the RSPN in the fields of, but not limited to, Education and Research.

The MoU which enters into force from the date of signing stands in force until its termination 5 years later.
