Basic GPS and GIS training

The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) will be offering basic GPS and GIS training w.e.f. 1 to 6th April 2019 at Lamigoempa, Bumthang.

As the training is aimed to provide basic skills on GIS and GPS operation, anyone with basic computer skills can apply for the training. We encourage cross sectorial agencies, NGO and private sectors to avail the training opportunities. Preference will be given to those applicants who has not attended any basic GPS and GIS course previously.

We will be able to accommodate a maximum of 25 participants for this training. The selected candidates will be notified through UWICER’s website and email or phone.

The selected participants shall be provided with two-time refreshment, lunch and a daily allowance as per the rule (no TA will be provided). Also, the participants are encouraged to bring laptop and android mobile device for the training, if available.
