Regional Boot Camp in Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis

The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) is organizing a ten days Regional Boot Camp in Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis in collaboration with the Biodiversity Conservation Society Sarawak (BCSS), Malaysia from 25th September to 6th October 2019. Interested early - career researchers, students, and managers from the SAARC region are invited to apply. 

The boot camp is intended for people who are involved in wildlife research using techniques such as presence/absence surveys or mark-capture or those who need to understand the results of this research.

Participants need to send a filled application form (download here) along with Curriculum Vitae to bootcampbhutan@gmail.com no later than 15th August 2019. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email on 17th August, and the list will also be posted on our website.

The training will be held at Lamai Goempa Bumthang (7 hours’ drive from Thimphu), and UWICER will provide the meals and accommodation at the workshop venue and in-country travel (shuttle service from Thimphu to Bumthang and back).

The UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Center for South Asia Forestry Services is providing the funding for this training.
