A week long training on basic GPS and GIS training started tody with 21 participants from the Department of Forests and Park Services (DoFPS). The training is aimed at imparting basic skills to DoFPS front-line staff on how to use smartphone GPS, acquire/collect spatial data, import and overlay data to Google Earth, digitize and process data in QGIS, perform basic geoprocessing operations, and create map (map cartography).

The training will be conducted till 14th of February and it is funded through REDD+ project.
