Mr. Jerrad Scott and his team from WWF visits UWIFoRT Institute

Mr. Jerrad Scott, the Manager of the U.S. CWT project and his team from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) paid a visit to the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Forestry Research and Training (DoFPS) in Bumthang today.
The institute warmly welcomed the team and provided a brief overview presentation of the institute. Subsequently, there was a concise conversation between the WWF team and UWIFoRT staff members on the training schedule for certificate courses, in-service professional ranger training, institute facilities, and the challenges faced by both the institute and the rangers in the field. Topics also included discussions on training curricula and areas for potential future improvement.
The WWF team then took a short tour of the campus, including the entomology museum, ethnobiology museum, dendrochronology lab, SMART nursery, and other training facilities. Later in the day, they engaged in a conversation with students in the Daphne Hall, where students shared their field experiences, learning opportunities, and challenges encountered during training and field visits.
The management of UWIFoRT expressed gratitude to Mr. JerradScott and his WWF team for their visit and wished Mr. Jerrad a pleasant stay in Bhutan.
