Orientation Program for the 7th Batch of Trainees at UWICE

The seventh batch trainees will be starting their one year certificate course in Conservation, Environment and Forestry Studies from the 1st August 2014 at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment. The new batch consists of fifteen trainees including ten in-service from Natural Resources Development Corporation Limited (NRDCL) and five pre-service trainees. The 7th batch trainees attended the day-long orientation program at the Institute today.

The Officiating Director and the faculty members of the Institute joined the orientation program to welcome them to the Institute. "The orientation program is conducted to ensure that trainees feel at home, become part of the Institute and most importantly, feel comfortable here" says the Dean of the Institute.

The Dean of training and academic affairs and few faculty members of the Institute briefed the trainees on various teaching-learning facilities, hostel facilities, course curriculum, rules and regulation of the Institute.  

The day long program concluded with the campus familiarization tour.
