The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment, Lamai Goempa, Bumthang is pleased to announce the first ever Nature Guide Training Course. The course will be for 2 months (May and June 2015) and will comprise of both theoretical and practical learning.

Interested participants holding a valid license to work as a trekking and cultural guide are invited to apply for the course. Preference will be given based on the number of years of having worked as a tour guide.

Prospective candidates may apply for the course along with the following documents:

• Application form (Download here)
• Citizenship identity card
• A copy of valid license (Trek and/or Cultural Guide) 
• Curriculum Vitae along with passport size photograph
• No objection/ recommendation letter from the concerned agency
• Medical fitness certificate

The interested candidate may submit their applications along with the following documents to the UWICE Unit office, Thimphu, latest by 25th April 2015, before 4:00 pm. Selection interview for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 1st May 2015.

Upon selection, participants shall pay the Institute Nu. 3000/- (Three thousand) only to meet their fooding costs. All other costs, i.e. lodging, vehicles, tuition fees and honorarium for guest lecters will be met by the Institute.
