Consecration of Daphne Hall and the Ugyen Wangchuck Museum for Ethnobiology

Coinciding with the inauguration of UNESCO Madanjeet Centre for South Asia Forestry Studies, Her Royal Highness Ashi Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck also inaugurated the new Daphne Hall and the Ugyen Wangchuck Museum for Ethnobiology at UWICE.
The Daphne hall was constructed with the financial support from Mrs. Daphne Hoch Cunningham.
The Ugyen Wangchuck Museum for Ethnobiology showcases traditional implements, equipment, dresses, pottery and containers which were the essential and important parts of our ancestors' daily lives.
The museum is a part of the UWICE’s tribute to the 60th birth anniversary of the fourth Druk Gyalpo, His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
