The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE) Lamai Goempa, Bumthang will host a three-day Bird Festival in Tingtibi, Zhemgang from 28 - 30 October 2015. The festival will be celebrated with the theme; Celebrating birds, celebrating life.

The objective of the festival is to gather all the people who are interested in birds and bird-life. Participants can learn more about bird diversity and distribution, ecosystem services, bird diseases and pandemics, climate change and bird-life, bird movement and migration, and the behaviors of the birds.

The festival is also to mark the 60^th Bird Anniversary of the fourth Druk Gyalpo Pal Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
