Board members of the Bhutan Foundation, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Fisheries Conservation Foundation, US visited the Institute yesterday (30th March 2016). The team was accompanied by the Executive Director of the Bhutan Foundation Mr. Tshewang R. Wangchuk, and officials from WWF.

The main objectives of their visit was to know the various research activities carried out by UWICE and to explore the possibility of future support in the areas of research. 

Mr. Sangay Wangchuk, head of the Sustainable Forestry Department, UWICE, briefed the guests about the Institute, its goals and objectives, achievements, and the future plans. The presentation was proceeded by visiting the wildlife and forests expo and ethnobiology museum at the Institute.
