Training for Nature Guide and Eco-toursim
Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE) conducted an orientation program for 4th batch of Nature Guide and Ecotourism Course. The trainees were welcomed by the Officiating Director, faculty and management of the Institute. The office for Dean of Training and Academic Affairs briefted trainees on various teaching and learning facilities, course curriculum, rules and regulation of the Institute.
15 participants from different travel agents are attending the course for 45 days (17th Jan- 1st march 2017) and it started today with early mist-netting program. The course will include both theory and field practical basically the identification of plants, mammals, butterflies, and birds.
Institute has conducted the same training for three batches since 2015 with an objective to enhance Eco-Tourism in our country. The course has been structured to impart environmental knowledge, conservation concepts and ownership of our pristine environment.
