A training workshop on Development of Business Plan for the Forestry Sector organised by the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research (UWICER) is underway at Jambayang resort, Thimphu. The five day training workshop (22 to 26 May, 2017) is organised as per the directives by the Department of Forests and Park Services. Dr. Pema Wangda, the Chief of Watershed Management Division (DoFPs) attended the opening ceremony of the event.

The training workshop is devised to familiarise forestry officials in the concepts of economics, identify business potentials in forestry sector and develop realistic forestry business plan. The training is conducted by resource persons from Gedu College of Business Studies.
