The Regional Center for Tiger and Cats Research Office has been operationalized with the opening of project office in Gelephu on 7^th July 2017. Chief Forestry Officers and staff from Royal Manas National Park, Sarpang Forest  Division, Phibsoo Wildlife Sanctuary, and UWICER attended the opening ceremony.  Dr. Tshering Tempa of UWICER has taken charge as a the new  Project Director for the Center with effect from 1st, July, 2017.
