As per the resolutions of the DoFPS Research Coordination Meeting held at Gelegphu (13^th – 15^th ) January 2016, a Research Committee was constituted for the DoFPS. The committee consists of members from functional divisions, field division, parks and UWICER. All research activities, which have not been screened and adopted during the annual research coordination meeting, will require approval from the DoFPS Research Committee.

In line with its research and training mandate, DoFPS directed UWICER to strengthen and streamline research application and clearance system. As of now, there is lack of proper procedures, leading to duplication of research works and resources. As part of this exercise, UWICER has developed an online Research Clearance System. Besides strengthening and streamlining research clearance system, it’s also expected to make the process of applying for the research permits a lot easier.
