Basic GPS and GIS training

Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research is conducting a week long  Basic GIS and GPS training from today at Lamai Goempa, Bumthang. The training is being attended by 35 participants from various organizations besides the officials from the Department of Forest and Park Services.

At the end of the training, participants are expected to know how to operate GIS/ and GPS mobile Apps and also know how to produce maps using QGIS. The training is being conducted by the Spatial Information Center and the Center for Conservation of the institute and shall end on 16th June 2018. This training is funded by the Royal Government of Bhutan.
