UWICER aims to contribute towards achieving higher standards of statistical data analysis skills amongst the wildlife biologists in the SAARC and South Asian Region. We collaborate with professionals at www.bcss.org.my. This year, a specialized training workshop on “Bayesian Analysis in JAGS and R” is scheduled from 11 – 22 September 2018. The workshop opening reception is in the evening of the 10th September 2018.

We invite workshop applicants from within Bhutan and SAARC member countries, who attended R Boot Camp workshop/s, OR with equivalent knowledge in R. Applicants can fill this form and submit to one of these contacts (Rinchen Namgay- rnamgay@uwice.gov.bt, Dawa Yoezer- dyoezer@uwice.gov.bt). Upon receiving the application, a provisional acceptance will be communicated to an applicant. As this workshop is offered as an advanced and a specialized course, applicants will have to perform the R Skills Review (http://bcss.org.my/statsWorkshops/Bayes_outline.htm;) to confer the final confirmation of acceptance to attend the “Bayesian Analysis in JAGS and R Workshop".

Important Deadlines;

Provisional Acceptance: 25th July 2018.

R Skills Review Assignment: 26th July -15th August 2018.

Final Selection Result: 20^thAugust 2018.
