A team from Chithuen Phendey Association visited the Institute today and organized sensitization workshop on substance abuse and addiction. The team delved into the very root causes of drug addiction substantiating their reasons through scientific and societal perspectives and drawing examples from real life experiences. They highlighted how an adverse childhood experience (ACE) could lead to a person with poorly developed brain lacking in social interaction and vulnerable to drug addiction.

The workshop was highly enlightening throwing lights on tips to a good parenting skill and hordes of other information. The workshop was attended by UWICER faculty staff and National Certificate Trainees of the Institute.
