Sixty five students of Khasadrapchu Middle Secondary School attended a talk titled "RUNNING THROUGH THE SCEINCE OF CLIMATE CHANGE" delivered by Dr. Steven William Running, the Regents Professor Emeritus of Global Ecology, University of Montana. The talk was organized as a part of guest lecture for students taking up Environment Science.

For students, it was an insightful moment to get the firsthand global perspective from the climate scientist. Dr. Running was a chapter Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.

During an interactive session with students, Dr. Running informed students that the climate change and its impact has to be looked from a social science perspective as well. With an increasingly well established fact of climate change evidences through scientific disciplines, it has now become more of global social issues. Amongst other, students also raised questions on recent Amazon fires and its linkages to climate changes.
