Second Batch NC-II Nature Guide Training

The Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research formally inducted 2nd batch of Nature Guide trainees today under DoEHR, MoLHR scholarship. 40 culture and trekking guides are participating in the training. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dasho Dzondag, Bumthang Dzongkhag as the Chief Guest and other regional heads. The training will be delivered in accordance with the competency based training for the National Certificate II (NC-II) nature guide curriculum.

The training started on 27th October, 2020 and will continue for 45 days. By the end of the training, trainees are expected to be competent in carrying out tour planning, nature tour and post tour activities.

Dr. Sherub, Specialist and the Head of Conservation Center is the lead tutor of the training.
