UWIFoRT management takes utmost pleasure in announcing the final selection list for the upcoming Nature Guide Training program.

The result of the applicant screening as per the announcement criteria and as discussed with the Project Manager, PMU/GEF of the Department of Tourism was carried out as under.

1.   Applicant response report generated from the online google form showed highest number of applicants interested in Wildlife Photography (63) followed by 56 in Birding (refer the report attached).

2.  Selection meeting was attended by the Head Specialist, Dean ECBS, and 5 other staff at the Hall of commons at UWIFoRT Lamai Goempa, where it was decided to start off with Birding training as there is lack of enough Photographic equipment to conduct training on Nature Photography at present. Nevertheless, basic photography will be taught to the participants.

The selection committee selected the applicants on first come first served basis taking into account valid Jobseeker and Tour Guide ID. Gender equity was also one of the considerations as suggested by PM, DoT.

We express our humble regrets for those unselected candidates and recommend trying for the next available training program where the requisition for increased number of participants is being made to the DoT contingent upon budget availability.
