Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Forest Management Regimes Training for forestry officials from across the country is ongoing at UWIFoRT since the 25th of September, 2024 and will continue till the 29th of September, 2024.
The training is being imparted by officials from Forest Management Information Division led by Specialist and Chief Forestry Officer of the Division. The training touches on the monitoring and evaluation framework designed to standardize M&E framework to monitor and evaluate management plans across the country's PAs, CFs, NWFP Groups, FMUs, LFMAs and Plantation sites.
The M&E framework encompasses assorted thematic groups and indicative parameters designed per the “Forest Management Code of Best Practices” to assess the status of forest management regimes. The framework delineates specific roles and responsibilities of officials deployed to execute monitoring and evaluation of PAs, CFs, NWFP Groups, FMUs, LFMAs and Plantation by filling out forms designed to track activity progress and synchronize them with vetted management plans.
A total of 10 female and 30 male forestry officials including two officials from UWIFoRT are attending the training for a 5-day intensive and interactive session.
