The Tsirang Forest Division is hosting a Business Plan Formulation Training from November 29 to December 4, 2024. The training aims to strengthen the development and management of the Sunkosh Ecotourism Amenities . Officials from Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Forestry Research and Training, a Research wing of the Department of Forests and Park Services is facilitating the process.

A total of 14 officials from various range offices under the Tsirang Forest Division are participating in this initiative. The training focuses on empowering participants with the skills and tools required to develop sustainable and practical business plans tailored to ecotourism projects. Key areas of focus include:

· Strategic planning and goal setting for ecotourism initiatives.

· Financial modeling and resource mobilization strategies.

· Marketing and branding for sustainable tourism.

· Community engagement and conservation integration.

The facilitators are providing valuable insights through interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on exercises to ensure participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the business planning process. This training supports the division’s efforts to align ecotourism development with Bhutan’s vision for sustainable growth.

Participants are actively drafting business plans for the Sunkosh Ecotourism Amenities, which will guide future implementation and development efforts.
