SFS Renews Ties With UWICE

The School for Field Studies (SFS) and the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE) signed a renewed MoU on the afternoon of the 29th of September 2014 in New York. Beginning fall 2015, undergraduate students from all across the US will come to UWICE for a semester (3-months) to study Himalayan Ecology and Livelihoods. The MoU was signed by Jim Cramer, the President of the SFS and Nawang Norbu, Director of UWICE.

The first SFS facilitated US students came to Bhutan in 2010. Over the last 5 years, over 90 undergraduate students have come to Bhutan to attend the 40-days summer program.
