A paper on the partial altitudinal migration of the near threatened Satyr Tragopan by UWICE and Max-Planck researchers have been published in ORYX. The paper highlights the need for large tracts of contiguous forests to ensure the persistence of altitudinally migrating birds, particularly those which migrate by walking.
