The team from Green Public Procurement (GPP), lead by the project Director, Mr. Yeshey Penjor, visited the Institute on 24^th August 2016. A half-day interactive session was organized for UWICE staff to familiarize GPP practices in Bhutan. The team presented on GPP objectives, activities, importance and challenges. As cross-sectorial strategy, GPP emphasized the need for collaboration from various stakeholders in fulfilling its objectives. GPP prime objective is to create a platform to advocate both the buyers and suppliers about GPP and its social, economic and environmental benefits.

Among other tertiary institutes, UWICE has been identified as one of the GPP’s visibility program Institute.
