Training on Taxonomic skill development (Fauna)

The opening ceremony of the training on taxonomic skill development (fauna) was graced by the Hon'ble Director of the Department of Forests and Park Services this morning infront of 23 training participants (from the Divisional Forest Offices and Protected Areas across the country) and the staff of the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Forestry Research and Training.

The training will focus on the skills required to identify mammals, birds and butterflies through a series of theoretical and practical sessions led by Dr. Sherub (Ornithologist) and his team of mammalian and Lepidopteran experts. The training will also serve as a conduit to facilitate exchange of professional ideas and enriching experiences.

The 6 day training, funded by Bhutan for Life, Royal Government of Bhutan which started today (21st of August)  ends on the 26th of August, 2023.
