Adrian Von Bernstorff (CEO) accompanied by Biren Subba (Agricultural and Community Outreach Project Manager) from the Terra Himalaya Pvt Limited, a FDI company working on essential oils in Bhutan for export to European markets, visited UWIFoRT to discuss on areas of collaboration for the production of essential oils chiefly from Nardostachys jatamansi and Litsea cubeba. Discussions on how to go about with CITES permit and Non-Detriment Finding Reports were also made.

Looking forward, Terra Himalaya suggested exchange of knowledge, expertise and technology pertaining to production of essential oils as means of collaboration between the Institute and the Company. 

The meeting was attended by Head Specialist, specialists and officers from the Center for Forest Science and Technology from the UWIFoRT.
