CFMG Good Governance (Book-Keeping and Leadership) Training for forestry field undergoing in Gelephu
A five-day CFMG Good Governance (Book-Keeping and Leadership) is being conducted from June 2 to June 6, 2025 at Ghaden Hotel, Gelephu. UWIFoRT is organizing the training with funding support from IKI-WWF Project. The training aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of forestry field officials for the effective implementation of CF programs.
The primary objectives
of the training are:
·To provide comprehensive, hands-on practical training in
bookkeeping.
· To facilitate the
implementation of standardized monitoring and evaluation processes in CFs.
The
expected training outcomes are to:
· Integrate the FMID requirements into the collection permit and
standardize permit format across all Community Forests (CFs) nationwide.
· Enable participants to
facilitate and verify records maintained by the Community Forest Management
Group (CFMG).
· Equip participants to
implement standardized monitoring and evaluation processes within CFs
effectively.
· Enhance understanding of the
challenges encountered at the Dzongkhag level.
23 forestry
field officials (19 male and 4
female) are undergoing the training supported by two resource persons each from
FMID and FRPMD, alongside two resource persons from the Institute.
