A five-day training on Camera Trap Data Management and Analysis (CTDMA) concluded today, equipping participants with the skills and technology needed for biodiversity research and monitoring. The training, held at the Rural Development Training Centre in Zhemgang from August 11-15, 2025, aimed to enhance the capacity of officials in managing and analyzing camera trap data, a method increasingly vital for conservation efforts.

A total of 30 officials (28 male and 2 female) from various Protected Areas and Divisional Forest Offices across the country attended the training. The institute extends its sincere gratitude to the Nature Conservation Division, Divisional Forest Office, Sarpang, Wangchuck Centennial National Park, and Jigme Khesar Strict Nature Reserve for their invaluable technical support.

This training is part of the IUCN-Integrated Tiger Habitat Conservation Program (ITHCP), a broader initiative funded by the IUCN/KFW project, focused on strengthening the long-term persistence of tigers in Bhutan's high-altitude regions
